Videos enable scripted words that are suitable for SEO and algorithms, so they’re the best method to engage your current and prospective clients. Your video content should be tailored to the kind of clients you want to attract. The tone, vernacular and cadence in your videos should be appropriate for your target audience.
Another way to attract prospects is through referral and video testimonials. The best people to reach out to for referrals are social lists, networkers and natural connectors. Testimonials are best when given by clients who are happy with your services and who you have built a strong relationship with.
Not sure how to go about asking for video testimonials? Here are some tips:
1. Figure out which clients emulate the prospects that you want to attract?
Make sure it aligns with the kind of clients you are targeting.
2. Make sure that your client is happy with you.
This gives you the oppurtunity to solidify this relationship with your client and to readdress any issues.
3. Show gratitude for the client and proceed to ask whether they would provide a video testimonial for you.
It doesn’t need to be scary. The more of a template you can give them for it, the more likely they’ll do it. You can give them an outline of what a good testimonial looks for your company and add an example.
Make sure to encourage them with gratitude and not be overly pushy with it. This should be natural! Just be yourself 🙂
